Cleveland / Akron area manufacturer of thermoplastic injection molded parts has an immediate opening at their state-of-the-art facility for an experienced CNC Programmer.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Read and maintain a working knowledge of the Quality Manual and Procedures
  • Collaborate with Tool Room Manager to develop the best approach to create mold components and electrodes that will be CNC’d, and to develop a manufacturing plan for CNC'd mold components and electrodes
  • Import data from mold design engineering files
  • Properly develop cutter paths for efficient manufacturing on CNC's
  • Verify cutter paths are properly named and saved in appropriate engineering files. Measure components that are CNC'd to ensure components meet specifications
  • Recommend tooling (Cutters) requirements for CNC's
  • Develop set-up sheets for EDM operator when providing electrodes Wire EDM. Assist in cleaning molds when no work available.
  • Order all proper tools and equipment

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years work experience in relevant CNC programming and operating
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of PC's
  • Strong working knowledge of PC's and experience with CAM software and programming
  • Strong understanding of plastic injection molds and components
  • Ability to adapt to demanding mold completion schedules
