Cleveland / Akron area manufacturer of thermoplastic injection molded parts has an immediate opening at their state-of-the-art facility for an experienced CNC Programmer.
Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Read and maintain a working knowledge of the Quality Manual and Procedures
Collaborate with Tool Room Manager to develop the best approach to create mold components and electrodes that will be CNC’d, and to develop a manufacturing plan for CNC'd mold components and electrodes
Import data from mold design engineering files
Properly develop cutter paths for efficient manufacturing on CNC's
Verify cutter paths are properly named and saved in appropriate engineering files. Measure components that are CNC'd to ensure components meet specifications
Recommend tooling (Cutters) requirements for CNC's
Develop set-up sheets for EDM operator when providing electrodes Wire EDM. Assist in cleaning molds when no work available.
Order all proper tools and equipment
Qualifications / Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years work experience in relevant CNC programming and operating
Strong Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of PC's
Strong working knowledge of PC's and experience with CAM software and programming
Strong understanding of plastic injection molds and components
Ability to adapt to demanding mold completion schedules
